"I am thankful to have had the chance to welcome Becca into our home to work with our autistic son. Music therapy helped him find his 'voice' for communicating and self-expression. I have used and shall continue to use music in our daily activities and during transitions which at times, with autism, can be challenging for both child and parent. I look forward to our future music adventures with Becca, she has been a breath of fresh air in his development!" ~ Joni (parent)

"The work you do is excellent, and important. We are so very lucky to have someone of your skill and professionalism working with the Individuals that we support. Thank you for adding another layer of therapeutic support Becca!"  ~Kim (day-service manager)

"you have a wonderful way with our Frazer. Truly inspirational. Thankyou for what you do" ~ Jill, (Grandmother)

Welcome

South Devon Music Therapy is based in Ashburton, Devon UK, and offers children and adults living in the area the chance to engage with the healing qualities and power of music as an expressive art form. Music therapy is a psychotherapy using interactive, improvised music as a form of expression to bring about change in an individual's social and emotional well-being.  Music therapists are registered health professionals who have completed an approved music therapy masters degree.

Music therapy can help meet the social and emotional needs of individuals with autism, dementia, mental health difficulties, PTSD, and learning disabilities among many others.

I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Music Therapist, with previous experience as an Occupational Therapist.  I bring a wide range of experience working with children with developmental and emotional issues, adults with mental health needs and children and adults with learning disabilities.
